Electric love
Nestled in the Salzkammergut lake district, surrounded by beautiful nature, the Salzburg Ring is the perfect location for Electric Love Festival. Festival-goers can enjoy everything from Dubstep, Electro, Hardstyle to Drum and Bass! The festival has quickly established itself as one of the best electronic festivals in Austria, with each year bringing new, stunning stages and lightshows to the forefront of the crowds.
The Art of Light has been involved from the second edition. André Beekmans took care of the light design and operating for the mainstage ever since, working together with a creative, inspiring and ambitious organization.
THE ULTIMATE MAINSTAGE EXPERIENCE
When designing, Beekmans gets inspired by the stage set, décor and overall setting. But there is much more to consider while designing for a mainstage. “It’s not just about emphasizing the stage and décor some lighting. You also must think of riders and other lighting operators from all the artists performing. And those were quite a lot!” André says. “I also took in account that there was going to be a lot of daylight on the festival. And of course, the aftermovie.” The aftermovie is an important element after a festival. André made sure the lighting was making the right amount of impact, so the visitors where visible on camera, but it wasn’t blinding them.
Beekmans used his passion for lighting to create a stunning light design, in proportion with the other disciplines, that makes a great example for a next level light show with the ultimate experience. We look back on many successful editions and are honoured to work with Electric Love.
